Henrikh Mkhitaryan was on the scoresheet as Roma ran out 2-0 winners against Empoli on Sunday evening.
Here's what the Armenian had to say after the game...
An important win for Roma tonight…
“Yes, we wanted to win and make sure we stay as close as possible to the sides at the top of the table. We put in an almost perfect performance.”
A goal and assist for you tonight, too…
“I wasn’t worried [about my contribution]. I knew the moment would come. It was just a case of waiting for it. I have to thank my teammates for their help – and congratulate them on this win too.”
Since making your debut you have scored 24 goals – more even than Edin Dzeko in that span.
“That’s nice, I’m pleased with that – but the most important thing is that we keep winning and achieve the targets we’ve set ourselves for this season.”
When Stephan El Shaarawy came on did you think you would be moved to the right instead?
“I know that Stephan prefers to play from the left. For me it doesn’t really matter if I’m on the right or left, what matters more is helping my teammates and doing the job that I’m asked to do. The key thing is we continue as we have been doing so far.”
