Empoli soon struck back, however, and appeared to be on course to clinch a valuable point - until Filippo Tripi fired home in injury time to snatch a dramatic victory.

The drama did not stop there, however, as the Under-19s punished their visitors' desperate push for an equaliser with a third and final strike, as Mory Bamba finished off an incisive counter-attack calmly and decisively.
