The words of the Giallorossi chief executive came during a video conference - the ‘Partners House Meeting’ – that has become customary since the the Coronavirus put football – and much of the world – on hold.

"I have to thank all of our partners for the support they have shown us during this time," said Fienga. "The football world is a very different place right now, but even without games at the stadium, our partners have always stayed very close to us and have been fully involved in all of our initiatives – in the community, online and even overseas. Roma is a social platform and as such, we have a duty and a responsibility in how we behave in a moment like this. The values that have moved us in this period of emergency will be the same values that will act as a compass for our future initiatives with our partners."

The video call also featured captain Edin Dzeko and Paulo Fonseca, who surprised the partners. The coach underlined the sense of belonging that he said he has found in the Giallorossi world, something he believed manifested itself even more in the activities of Roma Cares during the health crisis over the last two months.

“In this delicate moment, I am proud that the club has distinguished itself for the initiates it is carrying out alongside the hospitals and the people most in need in the city,” claimed Fonseca. “I know that you [Roma partners] have been involved in many activities and I thank you for this.”

Edin Dzeko also addressed the partners on the call.

"As in all the more complicated periods, what makes the difference within a team is the unity of purpose,” said the Roma No.9. "The Club has been very close in recent weeks, constantly informing us of all the initiatives undertaken by our foundation and with you as sponsors. This is for me a source of great pride and an additional responsibility that I gladly collect on behalf of the team. I hope to see you soon in Trigoria again."

AS Roma would also like to thank Cisco Systems for making their Cisco Webex platform available to the club, allowing remote working and meetings such as today’s to continue as planned.
