Pellegrini visits Rebibbia Correctional Facility with AS Roma Autistic Football Club

To celebrate World Mental Health Day, Lorenzo Pellegrini and AS Roma Autistic FC visited the Rebibbia Correctional Facility.

The Roma player met with inmates and the players of the AS Roma Autistic Football Club and took part in various activities created by the initiative. He also watched the match between the club’s team and the correctional facility’s squad.

The event was promoted to celebrate World Mental Health Day, as a way to stress the importance of mental well-being and the contribution sport can make in fostering relationships, sociability and a sense of belonging.

At the end of the match, Maria Donata Iannantuono, the Director of the Correctional Facility, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Lucia Bernabe, AS Roma’s Head of Institutional Relations, greeted the participants and stressed the importance of sport as a driver of inclusion, healthy relationships and focus on personal well-being.

The Rebibbia initiative is part of AS Roma’s social sustainability programme and the club’s commitment to inclusion and well-being, in line with UEFA’s priorities in these fields.
