The Under-19s arrived at the club's training base for two days of hard work - ahead of Sunday's departure for Borgo Valsugana, Trento, for a training camp that will run until August 5.
On the final day in Trentino the side will face Venezia in a friendly match, who finished third in the second division last season.
Roma, meanwhile, finished third in the top-flight, before losing in the play-off semi-finals against Inter Milan.
"After the summer break, the lads have come back in good shape - and that's a credit to them, to their professionalism," De Rossi told Roma TV.
"This is always a key time, when any injury can disrupt preparation. Our group is very strong, very focused, and has a lot of talented players."
