The Serie A champions come to the Stadio Olimpico for the day’s late kick-off, as the home side look for a win to pull themselves back into the race for a top-four finish – and qualification for next season’s Champions League.
“This is probably our last chance,” Florenzi told Sky Sport Italia.
“We know how important this match is for the city. We must get the three points.”
Asked about the highlights of his Roma career to date, Florenzi pinpointed last year’s Champions League home games against Barcelona and Liverpool. Questioned why the Giallorossi had not hit similar heights this season, the versatile full-back was phlegmatic.
“Every year is different. There were things that didn't go our way and we weren't able to fulfil our potential,” Florenzi said.
“Last season we had a great run in the Champions League. Next year we must do better.
“We dropped lots of points and I don't know if it was because we were too satisfied, or a lack of concentration.
“We're scrapping for points at the end of the season but we should have got them midway through the campaign instead of squandering them.”
