Alessio Riccardi was the hero of the hour as the Primavera secured a 4-2 win against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday to secure their place in the next phase of the UEFA Youth League.
Alberto De Rossi's young side are into Monday's draw for the play-off phase of the competition, as Riccardi's two fine second half goals gave the Giallorossi the win they needed to progress from Group G behind winners Real Madrid.

Needing to avoid defeat in order to progress, the Primavera took an early lead in the Czech Republic as Riccardi's cross was turned home by a Plzen defender - but two goals in quick succession suddenly saw the hosts turn things on its head.
But a fine strike from Ludovico D'Orazio moments before half-time restored the parity - and set the stage for midfielder Riccardi to make himself the hero.
The youngster showed his poise in front of goal twice to convert what appeared to be only half chances, powering his team to victory.
On Monday De Rossi's side will find out their next opponents in the competition - in the play-off phase, the runners-up from each group are paired off with a team from the 'champions path' (teams that won their domestic league, but their senior side did not qualify for the Champions League itself).
