Dzeko elated with match-winning strike

Edin Dzeko was delighted to add another unforgettable goal to his collection - as his left-footed volley propelled Roma to a 1-0 win over Torino on the opening day of the season.

Dzeko lashed home in the final minute of normal time to secure all three points for Eusebio Di Francesco's side, contorting his body brilliantly to meet Justin Kluivert's cross and beat Torino goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.

Afterwards, the striker suggested the finish was among the best three he has ever scored.

"It was a great cross, and I scored even better goal!" Dzeko joked.

"Last year I scored one that was maybe a bit better [against Chelsea], but this is among the best three."

His goal aside, Dzeko was delighted to come away with all three points.

"It is always difficult to come here," he said. "We have seen that in recent years, and today as well.

"But we created plenty of chances, and sooner or later the goal was going to come."

The No. 9 also had some praise for Kluivert, who made a big impact as a substitute.

"He can play on the left and the right, and he definitely changed the game," Dzeko said.

"He provided the assist. But everyone has to be ready. Today it was him, another day it could be somone else."
