Roma fans in the U.S. will enjoy more access to the team than ever before and the continued partnership further underscores AS Roma’s strategy to bring its global fan base closer to the club.
Starting immediately, two-hour blocks of AS Roma original programming will air each week in the following Comcast SportsNet markets: California, Chicago, Mid-Atlantic, New England, Northwest and Philadelphia.
AS Roma programming debuted across NBC Sports Regional Networks last April and ran through the end of the 2014-15 Serie A season.
“We saw a great reaction from fans in the U.S. to our NBC partnership last season and we will build on this success during the upcoming season,” said AS Roma CEO Italo Zanzi. “We have developed even more compelling specialized programming for the benefit of our quickly growing fan base in the U.S and are proud to deliver it through the NBC Sports Regional Networks.”
The programming, which is produced out of the state-of-the-art Roma Studio at Trigoria – AS Roma’s training facility in Rome – will include Roma Now (a half-hour lifestyle show) and Roma Match of the Week ( a full replay of AS Roma’s most recent Serie A match).
The club’s first match of the Serie A season against Hellas Verona on Saturday will air on NBC Sports Regional Networks next week.
