Strootman recovery going to plan

The Dutch international underwent a planned medical examination today to further check the progress he is making as he works his way back from injury.

Strootman, who on September 1 underwent arthroscopic surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee, is is undergoing regular physiotherapy treatment and is now training in the gym and out on the pitch, where on Friday he had a running session.

The Giallorossi midfielder, who has made 25 appearances for the Dutch national side, played his last competitive match for Roma on 25 January, 2015, in the league draw with Fiorentina.
