The result saw Roma U19s overtake their opponents and return to the summit of Group C but the coach insists it was more the manner of the victory than the scoreline or league position which pleased him.
"It was a brilliant effort by the lads today," De Rossi beamed after the match. "They produced some fantastic football, playing exactly the way we wanted, bossing possession and showing lots of quality in our play.
"We also did a magnificent job of marking Frosinone's excellent forwards out of the game.
"It was a superb performance all round. We fashioned loads of chances, saw lots of the ball and made very few mistakes.
"There's no such thing as the perfect match in football but I must say I'm absolutely delighted today.”
Eros De Santis landed a huge psychological blow when he struck the opening goal moments before half time, but De Rossi insists that such was the Giallorossi's resolve today they would have prevailed regardless.
"I think we'd have won the game even if the first half had ended 0-0. Mentally we were really on the ball. We were determined to win and reclaim top spot.
"When we cross the white line with our mind and bodies in tune like that we can give anyone a run for their money, in Italy or Europe."
Lorenzo Vasco secured victory for Roma on the hour mark when he scored his first of the season from a free kick.
What's your assessment at the midway stage of the season?
"Looking at where we are now, I'd say we've had an excellent first half of the campaign. We're back in first place, we came through our group in the Youth League and progressed to the next round in the Coppa Italia.
"I'd also like to add that our boys have already made three appearances for the first team and provided them with 30 players for the bench. We've been more like a second team for the club than an academy side."
Where do you need to improve?
"I think we just need to be more consistent because there was that month when we had a few bad games against Palermo, Pescara and Crotone.
"We shouldn't be too harsh on these boys though because they're playing every three days and it requires a lot of effort, mentally more than physically. All those games take a lot out of you, and in such an even league as this you can't afford to make any mistakes, not even against mid-table sides."
The Giallorossi finish the first half of the season top of Primavera championship Group C with 29 points, ahead of Frosinone, on 28, and Empoli, on 27.
Roma U19s will dive straight back in at the deep end when the league resumes in January with a tough away game at Empoli awaiting them.
