The Austrians will host Alberto De Rossi's side for a single-leg tie on 9 or 10 February, with the winners progressing to the Round of 16.
Salzburg reached the play-offs via the Domestic Champions Path, defeating Zeljeznicar of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first round and Turkish side Besiktas in the second round. They won both ties by 5-2 aggregate scorelines with the bulk of the damage being done on home soil – 4-0 and 5-1 respectively.
"We've already seen their results from the previous rounds and they won both home games by quite considerable margins so they're sure to pose a stern test,” Primavera boss De Rossi declared.
“It will be no picnic but, as I've always said, it's entirely up to us how far we go. All the teams are tough and we'll need to pull out all the stops if we want to make it through to the next round."
The Giallorossi Under-19s will be looking to emulate or better last year's fantastic Youth League campaign when their run was eventually halted in the semi-finals by Chelsea, who went on to claim the trophy.
"We really excelled last season and we played against some top-quality teams," De Rossi added.
"We need to rediscover our solidity and get back to playing the sort of football we were until not long ago while maintaining the same team spirit that has enabled to win the last three games."
