Goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski started and played all 90 minutes of Empoli’s 0-0 draw with Bologna on Sunday, recording his sixth clean sheet of the season.

The Polish international had three saves in the match. Two of the saves came before half-time, with Skorupski denying Bologna midfielder Adam Nagy’s curling right footed effort in the 38th minute, before stopping former Roma man Mattia Destro’s powerful shot from just outside the box minutes later.

Skoruspki is now tied for most clean sheets by a goalkeeper in Serie A this season, despite being an unused substitute in the first two matches of the season.

Empoli’s next league match is Saturday at home against Cagliari.
