Under the ownership of American club president Jim Pallotta, Roma have developed a reputation for innovating in the digital media space and today's announcement is the latest strategic development in the club's goal to become the world's most connected football team.
The Italian giant, who last season reached the knock-out stages of the Champions League, will use Facebook Live to stream the team's pre-season friendly against Russian Premier League side Terek Grozny on Sunday.
The game, which kicks off at 17:00 CEST (11:00 EST), will be Roma's second game of the summer following the 16-0 win over AC Pinzolo on Wednesday.
Fans all over the world who follow the club's official Facebook page will be able to watch the entire match on the social network.
