On Sunday Francesco Totti scored his 250th Serie A goal - becoming just the second player ever to reach the milestone.

Two days shy of his 40th birthday Totti converted a 55th minute penalty to reach the landmark - on what was an otherwise disappointing day for Roma, as they lost 3-1 to Torino.

Only the great Silvio Piola (274 goals) sits ahead of Totti on the all-time list.

Unsurprisingly, the feat was greeted on social media with widespread respect and admiration.
