The Roma captain played 90 minutes as the hosts ran out 2-1 winners against their Argentine guests at the Stadio Olimpico - but there were more important matters at hand than the match, with all proceeds from the day being donated to the earthquake relief effort after the recent tragedy in central Italy.
“Days like this mean a lot to us players and also to the people who came along and showed their support," Totti said. "We're happy to have been a part of it.
"We'll try to do everything we can to help those affected by the earthquake.”
What was it like meeting the Pope yesterday?
“Different to any other day! It was a special occasion and one we'll all remember fondly.”
Do you have a message for the Roma fans ahead of the next game?
“What I can say is that we''ll battle and fight hard every week to try and match Juve, who I think are still the team to beat. We have to give everything we've got and make sure we get the results we want.”
You can still donate to Football Cares' earthquake relief efforts here.
