The Ukrainian side, currently top of their domestic league, are coming towards the end of an extended winter break - with their domestic campaign set to resume late in February.
As a result, Paulo Fonseca's side have confirmed a series of pre-season tests to make sure they are in match condition before they meet the Giallorossi.
The squad will travel to Turkey (15-24 January) and the United Arab Emirates (27 January-7 February) for two pre-season camps prior to the tie.
In Turkey, they will play friendlies against Ludogorets (Jan 20) and Dinamo Zagreb (Jan 24). In the Middle East they will take part in the Dubai International Cup, against Copenhagen, Slavia Prague and AIK Solna.
The first leg of the last-16 tie with Roma takes place in Kharkiv's Metalist Stadium on February 21.
The return leg at the Olimpico is scheduled for March 13.
