"It took just a few months for the city and the fans to win my heart," Moreno wrote.
"However, I didn’t play much and that’s why I decided to accept an offer from a big club in Real Sociedad, partly to ensure I’m in good form going into the World Cup. I will never forget the love the fans showed me, the professionalism of the club and the extraordinary group of players at Roma, who I wish the very best of luck.
