For the showdown between Fenerbahce and Roma on 10 September in Istanbul on the opening matchday of the league phase of the Champions League, the visitors will take to the pitch with the World Food Programme (WFP) logo on the front of their shirts.
Floods and landslides have severely affected several areas of Nepal, leaving entire communities cut off from the rest of the country. Around 43,000 people are in need of urgent humanitarian assistance. The WFP is supporting the emergency response by providing food assistance and logistical support to reach the worst-affected and most isolated communities.
AS Roma would like to thank Eurobet.live for contributing to the realization of this initiative, which will shine a spotlight on the emergency in Nepal and the work of the World Food Programme.
Roma’s support will continue long after the final whistle is blown. The shirts worn by Gian Piero Gasperini’s players during the match will be auctioned, with all funds raised going towards supporting the people of Nepal through the WFP’s relief efforts.
Fans can also contribute through ShareTheMeal, the WFP’s platform.
A small gesture can help provide food and assistance to those who need it most.
