Roma’s European campaign is back underway soon, with the Champions League returning to the club after seven years!
On Thursday 27 August, our opponents for the 2026/27 league phase were drawn.
The Monaco draw has handed us these opponents: Real Madrid (home), PSG (away), Sporting CP (home), Manchester United (away), Lille (home), Fenerbahce (away), Slovan Bratislava (home), and AEK Athens (away).
The format
In the league phase, the top eight teams will advance directly to the Round of 16. Teams finishing 9th through 16th will enter the play-offs as seeded teams and play their second leg at home, while those finishing 17th through 24th will participate as unseeded teams, playing their first leg at home.
Teams finishing between 25th and 36th place will be knocked out.
The dates
The league phase will take place on the following dates: Matchday 1: 8-9 September; Matchday 2: 13-14 October; Matchday 3: 20-21 October; Matchday 4: 3-4 November; Matchday 5: 24-25 November; Matchday 6: 8-9 December; Matchday 7: 19-20 January; Matchday 8: 27 January.
UEFA will announce the precise match dates and kick-off times in the coming days.
