Massimo Margiotta is AS Roma’s new Academy Director

AS Roma announces that it has appointed Massimo Margiotta as its new Academy Director.

The Club official has signed a three-year contract until 30 June 2029, with an option for two additional seasons.

Following his professional playing career as a Serie A forward at Perugia and Udinese, Margiotta then became a club official, working as Hellas Verona’s Academy Director from 2017 to 2026.

This choice is consistent with the club owners’ strategy of continuing to invest in the quality of their own academy, thereby consolidating the tradition that has made AS Roma one of the best at it at an international level.

“I am very proud to accept this job and I am fully aware of the great responsibility that comes with it,” Margiotta said.

“Roma has one of the very best football academies and my goal will be to work every day to pass on the club’s values to the players, as I help them achieve their potential, both as people and as players,” he then added.

The Club warmly welcomes Massimo to the capital and wishes him every success in this new, exciting adventure.

Welcome to Roma!
