Here is what our players had to say.
Robinio, congratulations on your goal. Would you say that you’ve grown over the past couple of games?
“First of all, I’d like to thank Mario [Hermoso] for that perfect cross. I try to help the team; it’s my first goal here and I’m happy. I hope I can keep this up for a long time and keep my head held high also when things get tough. We must grow and always get better.”
You struggled a bit in the first half, then in the second half it clicked. Of course, it wasn’t an easy match, especially with the fatigue from the Bologna game.
“Yes, we know it’s not easy to bounce back in these situations. It’s not the ideal situation for any of us, as we wanted to advance to the quarter-finals of the Europa League. But we did prove that we were in good physical shape even after playing for 120 minutes against Bologna. That was also thanks to those who came on during the game. It’s great to see players who are so young come on and give it their all, for example [Lorenzo] Venturino, Robinio, [Daniele] Ghilardi, as well as Angelino. It’s nice and important to see these things.”
