To mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day on 27 January, in memory of the victims of the Holocaust, the club decided to raise awareness among the young players of its Academy with a dedicated screening on Pitch Nine of the Olympic Center Giulio Onesti.
Through the screening of a short film on the persecution, flight, life in ghettos and deportation experienced by children and adolescents, the club sought to give its young players an additional tool to understand the past by seeing how the lives of children their own age in the 20th century were shattered and how a future based on inclusion can be built.
After the screening and before their training session, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.
Sport has the power to bring people together, but remembrance must protect that unity from all forms of hate.
