Ferguson and Pisilli's post Lecce thoughts

Following Roma’s 2-0 away triumph over Lecce our players Evan Ferguson and Niccolo Pisilli spoke to Sky Sport.

Here's what they had to say.

Evan Ferguson

You were awarded Man of the Match tonight. The game was always under our control.

"Indeed, we didn't have much time to prepare – we only did some video analysis. We did what the coach asked of us. We had to win after losing our last game, which we did, and we’re delighted."

Do you feel your confidence growing?

"Yes, forwards need confidence and to score. The more you play, the more chances you get."

Niccolò Pisilli

You were more than ready for today’s game…

"I'm satisfied. I could’ve played better - there's always room for improvement. It was my first start in the league. Maybe I didn't have 90 minutes in me, but it was good to play a full match."

Thoughts on the season now we’re at the halfway point?

"If you told us at the start of the season that we'd be fourth now, we'd all be happy. Ending the first half of the season in fourth is fine. If we maintain our current league position we’d qualify for the Champions League, which would be important."
