On 6 March, the Olimpico really got behind the Giallorossi against Athletic Club in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16. We’d never seen the Olimpico quite like this, and the fans helped the team to victory.
On 18 May, Claudio Ranieri called time on his coaching career and did so while in charge of his beloved Roma. At the end of the match against Milan the coach was emotionally touched during his farewells to the fans. However, it wasn’t a full goodbye – Ranieri has since moved upstairs and now works as the club’s senior advisor.
On 6 June, the club announced the signing of Gian Piero Gasperini. Claudio Ranieri introduced him to the world of Roma 11 days later at Trigoria.
On 21 September, Roma won the derby, Gasperini’s first. A goal by Lorenzo Pellegrini in front of the Curva Nord settled the encounter. It was Roma’s 70th win out of 186 derbies in all competitions.
On 11 September, coinciding with the 90th anniversary of his birth, AS Roma named one of its training grounds after Giacomo Losi, one of the most beloved and emblematic captains in the history of the club and a member of the Hall of Fame since 2012.
On 23 December, the Club announced that it had delivered the Technical and Economic Feasibility Study for the new Stadium. A fundamental step that brings us closer to the construction of one of the most ambitious and modern sports infrastructures in Europe.
On 29 December Roma played their last game of the calendar year against Genoa, winning 3-1. It took place at the Stadio Olimpico, for the 16th sellout of 2025, in what was also a chance to greet Genoa coach Daniele De Rossi for the first time ever as an opponent.
