Some club partners were also involved in the initiative, including Q8, La Molisana and the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation, with the latter offering free screenings to the guests of Opera Don Calabria, where the initiative was held.
The facility, which was established to offer free support to vulnerable youth, has grown over the years and is currently providing assistance to twenty patients with mental and relational disabilities and managing a soup kitchen for the homeless that can serve around 1,500 meals a day. It also includes a centre devoted to distributing clothing to the homeless and the residents of the disadvantaged neighbourhood. Opera Don Calabria plays a key role in the northwestern area of the capital, as was noted by Administrative Director Paolo La Masta together with Municipality XIV President Marco Della Porta and Spokesperson of the Lazio Forum of the Third Sector Francesca Danese. The event was also attended by Customer Management and Private Area Director of the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation Michele Urbano.
Apart from AS Roma, which donated sportswear, the event was also attended by the club’s Community Network with some partners, who were eager to make a tangible contribution to facilitate Opera Don Calabria’s everyday activities.
The Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital Foundation oversaw the healthcare part of the charity initiative by donating first-aid equipment and offering around 50 ECGs to the guests of the facility free of charge, as well as screenings and cardiological visits at the facility. Q8 contributed by sending clothing and linens, while La Molisana gave out many cases of pasta to support the soup kitchen for the homeless. Official licensee ICAM also participated in the initiative by sending a large quantity of Christmas sweets, all of which, of course, were Roma themed.
Part of the event was dedicated to football, with a friendly match played on the centre’s football pitch between AS Roma for Special and the home team (which also included players with mental and relational disabilities). After that, there was a final toast and a game of bingo with AS Roma prizes to celebrate a different kind of Christmas together.
2025 is drawing to a close and the club seized this opportunity to bring comfort and support to many charity organisations of the capital, in synergy with the main institutions and the most active organisations of the third sector. The club’s commitment can lead to projects with a tangible social effect that help the community, with special attention being paid to the youth and vulnerable people, giving back to the city some of the unconditional support that AS Roma receive throughout the year from their fans.
