“Roma Roma Roma” 50 years later: new vinyl edition to be released with live version at the Olimpico!

The anthem that brings us together and is played before kick-off in our home matches is back as a vinyl record in two formats and makes its debut on the main digital platforms alongside its live version at the Stadio Olimpico.

Half a century has gone by, but “Roma (non si discute, si ama)” is still magical, and is enriched by the contribution it has been receiving for some seasons now from the fans of the Olimpico who sing it a cappella before kick-off.

To celebrate its fiftieth anniversary since it was released in 1975, the song that constitutes the “Core de ’sta citta” (heart of this city) is back as a vinyl record in two formats thanks to Antonello Venditti, who wrote the song together with Giampiero Scalamogna, Sergio Bardotti and Franco Latini.

Apart from the new edition of the classic single – which comes in a yellow and red cover with the club’s logo on it – there is also a limited edition with the shape of Piero Gratton’s Lupetto. This shape was originally printed in 1975 in a limited number of copies, mirroring its original release.

The  A-side contains the original studio version of the song, featuring Antonello Venditti and the chorus of the Roma 1974/75 players and the Schola Cantorum.  The B-side includes the much-anticipated track featuring the live version recorded during the Roma–Milan match on May 18, 2025, which set an all-time attendance record at the Olimpico with 68,143 spectators.

The new single will be on sale starting from 5 December exclusively in our AS Roma Stores and online store. However, to make sure that everyone to enjoy the magic of this new edition, Sony Music Italy has decided to release the song for the first time in its two versions also across all digital platforms, with the addition of an official video clip celebrating the last 50 years of Giallorossi history punctuated by the notes of the song in a live version.
