‘Amami e Basta’: AS Roma and HDI Assicurazioni come together to combat gender-based violence

AS Roma have created an awareness-raising initiative in tandem with the club’s insurance partner HDI Assicurazioni, with the aim of sending a shared message on the importance of the fight against gender-based violence through the ‘ Amami e Basta’ (Just Love Me) campaign, launched by the club in 2020.

To commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November, AS Roma and HDI Assicurazioni have chosen to send a loud and clear message of their shared commitment to combat the scourge.

For Roma Women’s Serie A match away at Como on 23 November the team will take the field displaying the logo of the ‘Amami e Basta’ campaign on their shorts in addition to HDI Assicurazioni’s logo, which has featured on team kits since 2023 and was also printed on the men's team's match shorts for some friendlies played ahead of the 2025/26 pre-season. On the same day, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side will also wear shorts featuring the campaign slogan during the team’s warm-up ahead of their away game against Cremonese.

The initiative, designed to reaffirm the commitment that AS Roma and HDI Assicurazioni have long shared to promote a culture of respect for women and the values of equal opportunities, will make it possible to provide a concrete contribution in support of the Anti-Violence Centers in Roma Capitale. The shorts with the ‘Amami e Basta’ logo worn by the Giallorossi players will go up for auction on the MatchWornShirt website in the days following their match, with part of the proceeds allocated to local facilities that offer help to female victims of violence.

The ‘Amami e Basta’ campaign

The ‘Amami e Basta’ campaign was created in 2020 in response to the increase in cases of domestic violence during the Covid-19 lockdown, and has grown in importance over the years.

In addition to providing educational presentations in schools and donating red benches to various municipalities which display the number 1522 - the national helpline for victims of gender-based violence - the club has promoted fundraising events to contribute to the establishment of training courses for women hosted by anti-violence centres or entrusted to social services. This service is a fundamental tool for victims be able to enter the world of work and achieve economic independence from their reported aggressor. In addition, gynaecological tables and dividers have been donated to each local healthcare authority in the area to provide a pathway for female victims of abuse who need first aid facilities.
