Gianluca Mancini and Paulo Dybala scored early goals to give Daniele De Rossi's side a comfortable lead at the break, despite being reduced to ten men when Zeki Celik was sent off for a foul on Rafael Leao.

Milan scored a consolation late in the second half, but the Giallorossi players remained resolute throughout the game to hold on to the victory.  

The Giallorossi will meet Bayer Leverkusen in the next round, with the the winner moving on to the final in Dublin.
