AS Roma announce the first exclusive shirt sponsor for their Women's Team

AS Roma are delighted to announce a new historic partnership with the multinational pharmaceutical company IBSA. From this Wednesday's women's Champions League match against PSG, until the end of the season, onward the brand will feature on the Italian champions’ shirts.

IBSA boast excellence in the field of women's health and the promotion of wellbeing. This is why they have chosen to make the reigning women’s Serie A champions their first exclusive shirt sponsor.

“We’re proud of this new partnership that sees us team up with one of the most important women’s football teams in Italy and the winners of the 22/23 women’s Serie A title,” says Massimiliano Licenziati, President of IBSA Italy

“IBSA has been involved in the sporting world for six years now due to the healthy values that sport promotes. However, this partnership has a special meaning because it reflects IBSA’s commitment to the women who, thanks to their talents, play a key role within the company and in all the fields in which they work”.

“We’re proud to see our club join forces with an international partner, one which is so important and attentive to women's health and wellbeing,” declared Lina Souloukou, AS Roma Chief Executive Officer & General Manager.

“IBSA's decision to team up with the Italian champions is a further symbolic accolade for the women’s game, as it will be the first time a women’s team will have an exclusive shirt sponsor. For this reason, we see this partnership as an extraordinary opportunity to increase the value of our club, undertake a shared journey that goes beyond just shirt sponsorship and contribute together to consolidate the women's football movement."

IBSA Italy, founded in 1992, is part of IBSA (Institut Biochimique SA) and is headquartered in Lodi, where the first factory was also established. Over the years, IBSA Italy has grown rapidly by creating the Rome headquarters, the Cassina de' Pecchi (MI) plant and three research and development laboratories, becoming a leading economic and scientific company in the Italian pharmaceutical sector.
