The agreement, with Open Fiber becoming an AS Roma Official Partner from this season, will see the installation of ultrafast connectivity in the offices of Viale Tolstoj, at the training ground in Trigoria and the training facilities of Roma Femminile and the Giallorossi academy teams.
The infrastructure connecting the club’s facilities will be built exclusively using FTTH technology, the only one on the market capable of providing connection speeds of more than one gigabit per second.
By using the Open Fiber network, AS Roma will be able to record and elaborate data acquired in real time from footballers of all ages on the pitch, and screen, manage and send full-resolution videos.
“This partnership with AS Roma, a leading club in Italy and Europe, bears witness to Open Fiber’s special interest in the world of sport, which we aim to accompany in the process of innovation,” said Open Fiber Business Market director Stefano Mazzitelli. “The fibre-optic network we will install at Roma’s premises is able to offer incredibly high connection speeds and stability and will aid data analysis and management, which is increasingly important to improve performances.”
