    Ibanez hails 'important' away point

The Brazilian defender was on the scoresheet as the Giallorossi came from behind to claim a 2-2 draw with AC Milan.

Roger Ibanez was on the scoresheet as the Giallorossi came from behind to claim a 2-2 draw with AC Milan on Sunday night.

The Brazil international headed home with just under five minutes remaining to spark an unlikely comeback, as Tammy Abraham delivered the equaliser deep into injury time.

Here's what Ibanez had to say after the game...

You waited for your chances and, from set pieces, you certainly took them in the end.

“Yes, we did what we worked on in training. That's what the boss asked of us: we needed to be patient over the course of the game, because we knew the chances would come. And they did. We just had to never give up."

What did you say to each other after the celebrations, at the end of a game that seemed lost until your goal?

“We know that we are very dangerous from set-piece situations; we need to make sure we always really attack the balls into the box. After the first goal we continued to believe that we could get another - we know that the match is only over when the referee blows his whistle."

How has Tammy Abraham been doing over these last few weeks?

“We know he's a great lad both on the pitch and off it. We all need to be patient sometimes and so does he. The goals will come, the chances will come. Today one came and I am really pleased for him."

Why did we have to wait so long to finally see Roma push forward in attack?

"From the outset we knew that Milan are good on the ball. We needed to bide our time a bit ... perhaps a bit too long! What can I say - the result is a good one, a point away from home is really big for us and for the target we are chasing. We need to keep going like this and keep picking up points in every match."

The team seemed a bit passive for large spells of the match. In preparing for the game, even while being patient I'm sure the coach would have wanted a bit more from you...

"Yes, it was a bit difficult for us to get going on the ball in the first half. We didn't find much space. In the second half we got on the ball a bit more, pushed forward a bit more and managed to put them under a bit more pressure.

"In the end, from two set pieces, we got the two goals."
