Here's what you need to know about the first Japanese player to represent the Giallorosse...
Minami's love for the game of football emerged from an early age. She began playing the game for White Shark Soccer Sports Boy Scouts in her home city of Yoshikawa, before joining Urawa Red Diamonds to begin her path in the women's game.
She played for the club's youth teams up until 2017, where she was promoted to the first team setup - making her debut for the club in the Emperor's Cup that year.
Her debut in the Japanese top flight, meanwhile, came in May 2018 - in a win over Mynavi Sendai. After five more seasons with the Red Diamonds, she has now made the move to Europe...
In 2013 Minami began to gain attention from the national setup, helping the Under-16s win the Asian Cup in China that year.
A year later she would win the age group World Cup in Costa Rica with the Under-17s, before accieving the same feat with the Under-20s soon after.
For the last two years she has been a regular starter for the senior women's team.

A left-footed centre back, Minami is good in one-on-one situations and dominant in the air. She also has a good read of the game around her.
