The England international got his second goal of the season - and his third in two games at the Stadio Carlo Castellani - midway through the second half to secure the three points for the Giallorossi.
In the process, he put to rest a two-game losing streak for his side.
"They are a good team and they have been working well this season so we knew it was going to be tough," Abraham said.
"Coming into this game we had lost the two before, so we needed this for our confidence. We are happy to win."
He added: "I think we had amazing individual performances tonight – [Roger] Ibanez and [Nemanja] Matic, for me, were the two most important players on the pitch today. Yes, myself and Paulo [Dybala] got the goals tonight, but we have to give credit to other players more though because they worked well.
"Zeki [Celik] as well; coming into a new team is difficult but today he put on a great performance. There are a lot of things we can be proud of, but we have another game on Thursday now and we need to be ready."
After some newspaper articles about his form in recent weeks, Abraham was also happy to respond with an important goal.
"I am getting better and better," he said. "I need to keep learning and improving; I’m coming off the back of an injury so I still need to get my fitness back a little bit.
"But I am happy to score and to help the team as much as possible."
