Corentin Louakima scored twice early in the second half as Luigi Cherubini added the finishing touch to an eye-catching triumph, as Alberto De Rossi's side continue to dominate the league standings this season.

"It's three big points, it gives us a bit of briefing space in the standings," De Rossi said.

"After a great start, even amazing, we've had some ups and downs. But these three points will relax us. The main thing is that we have overcome the effects of the last two games, especially the one in Florence [against Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia] where we really bad.

"But I have to stress once again just how professional, calm and focused the boys have been - because it's not that easy. We've had setbacks but the boys have been able to bounce back with professionalism and hard work."
