Cristante: We were not good enough

After rescuing a point with a late header on Sunday night, Bryan Cristante spoke to television reporters about Roma's 2-2 draw with Sassuolo.

The Italy international headed home at the near post in injury time to ensure the Giallorossi escaped the Mapei Stadium with something to show for their efforts.

Did you expect a bit more from the game tonight?

“We wanted to win the game, we could have won the game. A draw, even rescuing it at the end, isn't good enough."

What does it mean, though, to have saved a point late on?

“For me it doesn't mean anything. We wanted to win - if we had won then that would have meant something. We haven't lost tonight but that still isn't enough."

What is this Roma side lacking, in your opinion?

“We are clearly lacking something. We need to work, work, work to make sure we win games like these with more consistency."

What about the travelling Roma support tonight - almost 2000 followed the team...

“We can only thank them for their support. They have been amazing since the very beginning of the season and they continue to be amazing - we just need to make sure we win more games for them."
