Milica Mijatovic will become the first Serbian player to wear the Roma Women strip, after she completed her move to the Giallorosse over the weekend.
The 30-year-old midfielder joins the club after gathering a wealth of experience in leagues all around the world - showing her ability to adapt to different situations and deliver at some of the highest levels of the sport, both at national and international level.
Mijatovic began her top-level career for Sarajevo in her homeland, before joining Red Star Belgrade for a season. A subsequent move to BIIK Kasygurt in Kazakhstan in 2012 enabled her to experience her first taste of Champions League football.
After a return to Red Star for the 2015-16 season, Mijatovic would go on to play for Hammarby in Sweden and Arna-Bjornar in Norway. She also went to Australia to play for Melbourne City, with whom she won the Australian league title.
A brief stint in Apollon Limassol was followed by a return to Sweden with Hacken - with whom she won the Swedish Cup.

Australian League: Melbourne City, 2019-20
Swedish Cup: Hacken, 2020-21
International Level: Turkish Women's Cup, 2021
Mijatovic is a central midfielder who is more than capable of playing in various other roles too. Blessed with good technique, she has the quality to play on both the left and right flanks with little change in performance.
Her pace makes her dangerous breaking into space, while she is blessed with a powerful shot that can cause plenty of problems from distance.
Last season, while playing for Hacken, Mijatovic scored three goals in 20 appearances for the club. Her best goalscoring season came during her time with Arna-Bjornar, where she managed seven goals in 21 total appearances.
She made five appearances in the 2021-22 UEFA Women's Champions League for Hacken, completing 60% of her passes over the course of those games.
Mijatovic spent last season playing alongside Beata Kollmats, another winter signing for the Giallorosse.
