Having already secured second position and Champions League football for next season, Alessandro Spugna's side duly retained city bragging rights against their relegated opposition: as Milica Mijatovic, Valeria Pirone and Sophie Roman Haug all got on the scoresheet.
The Giallorosse now have just one game left this season - they face Juventus in the Coppa Italia final next Sunday, as they look to win the cup for a second season in succession.
"It was a great performance," Spugna said afterwards.
"Not just to finish the season well, but because it was the derby too. We started brilliantly and then we managed the game well, scoring when we had the chances.
"I am pleased with some of the girls who have played less recently too - they showed they are ready."
Spugna's side always looked on course to win at Formello, as Mijatovic found the top corner with a precise first-time finish after just 43 seconds.
Lazio tried to battle back into the contest and did create chances of their own but, after none of those found the net, seemed demoralised when Pirone's sumptuous lob found the net shortly before half-time.
In the second half, with the hosts seemingly prepared to sit deep and hope not to concede further, Roman Haug rose highest to put Angelica Soffia's cross in the back of the net.
Roma finish the campaign with 54 points from their 22 games.
