After six years with the Giallorossi, over the weekend the Bosnia & Herzegovina international completed a move to Inter Milan.
The 35-year-old left the capital having scored 119 goals in 260 games; enough to sit third on the club's list of all-time leading goalscorers.

Ciao Roma,
After six years the time has come to say goodbye.
These last few days have been ones of conflicting emotions; on one hand I am fired up for a new challenge, on the other I have a huge lump in my throat thinking about what I am leaving behind.
I know that a simple thank you is not enough to explain my gratitude towards the Roma fans, the club and the Eternal City. I have experienced amazing years in the capital that I will never forget. On the pitch and off it. The battles in the league, the Champions League nights, the goals.
I was honoured to wear the captain's armband and to have scored 119 times for the fans - but at the same time I am sorry that I was not able to help bring the joy of seeing a trophy lifted to the sky.
For six years I have worn this shirt with pride, fighting hard in both victory and defeat alongside my teammates, coaches and everyone else who makes up this club - and the fans, who are crucial part of what I consder to be a family.
I want to thank everyone who has helped myself and my wife Amra during this amazing adventure, and I want to thank this city that has helped raise our three children.
You will all always have a special place in my heart.
Grazie Roma.
