    Form guide

Roma have won each of their last two games in Serie A and could make it to three-in-a-row for the fourth time in 2021. The last such streak ended in September, while the Giallorosse have topped out at four wins in a row (February) in this calendar year to date.

Fiorentina, meanwhile, have lost each of their last two games since the international break, both of them against Milanese opposition: against AC Milan they were beaten 1-0, while Inter edged them 3-2.

    General statistics

These two teams have split the difference in their meetings to date: with both teams winning twice and the other four meetings having ended in draws.

The Giallorosse, however, are unbeaten against La Viola in the last four meetings (two wins, two draws), with their last defeat coming in April 2019.

Every league meeting in Rome between these two sides has finished in a draw, however: with the last two both also finishing 2-2 (the very first meeting, in 2018, ended 0-0). That streak extends to cup competitions too - the Coppa Italia semi-final meeting between the sides in March 2019 ended 1-1 (Fiorentina won the second leg).

Only Sassuolo (20) have scored more goals than Roma's 18 so far this season in the league. The Giallorosse have also scored 14 of those goals (78%) from open play, a record that no other team can match.

Alessandro Spugna's side have also scored more goals in the first 30 minutes of games than any other side so far in Serie A (10, three more than any other team) and are also the team yet to concede during that period of matches.

Roma have only kept one clean sheet in their last four home matches in Serie A - in the most recent home game, against Sassuolo. Prior to this current run they had kept four clean sheets in five home games, however.

Roma need just one goal on Saturday to reach 100 home goals in all competitions.

    Opposition Focus

Fiorentina and Juventus are the only two teams still to draw a game in 2021 - having won 11 games and lost nine so far in this calendar year.

Patrizia Panico's side have won a higher percentage of duels (54%) than any other team in the league this season - but have also conceded in their last six away games. A seventh in a row would be the first time in their history they have reached such a streak.

Fiorentina have scored nine goals in their last two away games - one more than they managed in the seven away games prior to that.

No team has scored more goals from corners (four) than Fiorentina have managed this season, while only Juventus (nine) have managed more headed goals than Fiorentina's five to date.

Daniela Sabatino has scored in two of her last three away games against Roma, playing for both AC Milan and Fiorentina. She has also been involved in each of Fiorentina's last three league goals.

Sabatino and Karin Lundin are both among the top-four goalscorers in Serie A so far this season with five apiece.

Melania Martinovic has scored three goals against Roma in her career to date (one for Atalanta Mozzanica, two for Florentia) - only against Pink Bari (five) and AGSM Verona (four) has she found the net more often.

Stephanie Breitner is suspended for this game, having been sent off in the defeat to Inter Milan.

    Roma Spotlight

Annamaria Serturini has scored three goals against Fiorentina in Serie A - her preferred league victim.

Andressa Alves has been involved in six goals so far this season (two goals scored, four assists) from eight appearances. Last season the Brazil international was involved in seven in 15 games.

Benedetta Glionna has provided more assists from open play (four) than any other player in Serie A so far this season. This weekend she could also score her third goal against Fiorentina with a third different team, having notched for both Verona and Empoli in the past.

    Familiar faces

Elena Linari played for Fiorentina between 2016 and 2018 - scoring 11 goals in Serie A in that period. Saturday could be her 200th Serie A appearance.

Before joining the Giallorosse, Elisa Bartoli represented La Viola for two seasons (2016-2018).

Paloma Lazaro made 10 appearances and scored four goals for Fiorentina during her one season with the club in 2019-20.

Martina Piemonte was part of the Roma squad in 2018-19, scoring six goals in 22 appearances in all competitions for the Giallorosse in what was their first season in existence.

Sarà Marco Acanfora di Castellammare di Stabia a dirigere la sfida, per lui nessun precedente con le giallorosse.
