Roma Women midfielder Andressa Alves saw her Olympic hopes end on Friday, as Brazil were knocked out of the competition at the quarter-final stage.
They went out at the hands of Canada on penalties, after the game had finished 0-0 after 120 minutes of tense action in Tokyo.
Andressa came off the bench in extra-time to try and change the game for her country - but unfortunately was one of the unlucky players to miss a penalty, along with teammate Rafaelle.
"It's really hard to write something here," Andressa posted.
"It was one of those nights where you can't sleep because of the disappointment.
"Yesterday I missed a penalty but that is football for you. One day you are smiling, the next you can be crying and that is why I love this sport so much. Football is truly my life."
