Excited Bove hopes debut is 'just the start'

Edoardo Bove became the latest Primavera graduate to make his first-team debut on Sunday, as he came on as a second half substitute in the win over Crotone.

The 18-year-old central midfielder joined the action for the final 10 minutes, making his bow at the highest level in the process.

"It's an incredible feeling," Bove said afterwards.

"It's tough to reach this level. I hope that it is just the starting point for a long career."

He added: "Alongside my Primavera teammates we've all worked really hard this year. We've been in regular contact with the first team staff as well. Both of those things have really helped us to improve. I want to thank them all."

Bove dedicated the debut to his family.

"For 10 years they have been bringing me to Trigoria, supporting me, helping me every single day," he said.

"They've helped both from a footballing perspective and as a person - they've helped me mature in all aspects."
