Gallery: Fans give team amazing send-off!

The Giallorossi are heading to Manchester for Thursday's Europa League semi-final first leg, where they will face Manchester United.

The game at Old Trafford gets underway at 21:00 CEST.

Fans began arriving outside the club's training centre at Trigoria in the late morning, and numbered in the hundreds by the time Paulo Fonseca's side were preparing to depart.

A section of supporters unfurled a banner, which read:

As fans chanted and cheered outside the training complex, a number of players took to the balcony atop one of the buildings to salute the fans.

When the team bus left soon after, the send-off was electric.

The team will arrive in Manchester later on Wednesday evening.

Fonseca and former Manchester United defender Chris Smalling will then hold a pre-match press conference at Old Trafford.
