On 10 March 1929, almost two years after their foundation, Roma met Club Francais in a friendly match. It was the club's first-ever game outside of Italy.

That Sunday, almost two years on from the club's formation, the Giallorossi arrived at the Velodrome Buffalo in Paris, beating their French hosts 5-0 thanks to a hat-tick from Rodolfo Volk and additional goals from Landolfi and Arturo Chini Luduena.

Among others to play in the game included captain Attilio Ferraris IV, Cesare Fasanelli and Fulvio Bernardini.
