Lazaro aiming high as side prepares for Milan

The Giallorosse head into Sunday's game eager to pick up a first win of the campaign against another of the league's standout sides, and in the process kickstart the challenge in Serie A.

Lazaro, who signed for the club in the summer, has been a real bright spot so far - scoring six goals already to lead the club's scoring charts.

The Spaniard is now also the top scoring non-Italian in league history, with 16 Serie A goals to her name.

"I've started the season well - I have to thank the club for that, for putting me in my best position out there on the pitch," Lazaro told Sky Sport Italia.

"This club has an ambitious project but we are still a young side - nevertheless, over time we will set our sights higher and higher."

She added: "The league here is improving so much, so many great players are now joining teams. In Italy they are really doing a lot to help the women's game grow.

"On Sunday we hope to put in a really great performance against AC Milan."
