In stats: 10 numbers from Roma's record win at Bologna

We’ve picked out some notable numbers from Roma’s rampant win over Bologna at the Dall’Ara on Saturday as they hit five goals in a frenetic first half.

1-5

This was Roma’s biggest Serie A victory over Bologna since their 5-0 win at the Stadio Olimpico in September 2013 and the Giallorossi’s biggest win at Bologna in the club’s history.

2

Involved in two of Roma's goals, Lorenzo Pellegrini grabbed a goal and an assist in a single Serie A match for the first time since doing so against Lazio in September 2018's Derby della Capitale.

3

Jordan Veretout’s effort was his third goal from open play as a Roma player, with the remaining 10 of his 13 strikes in all competitions in yellow and red coming from the penalty spot.

5

Edin Dzeko has now scored in five of his six league outings at Bologna in Serie A, while Roma scored five times in the league for the third time in 2020-21 - more than any other team in Europe's top-five leagues, bar Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur, who have also hit five on three occasions.

11

After his goal and assist, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been involved in 11 Serie A goals (six goals, five assists) in 11 Serie A appearances this season.

16

In a game where Roma’s attack rightly took the majority of the plaudits, Roger Ibanez still made 16 recoveries in the match - more than any other player on the pitch from either team.

17

Of their last 17 visits to the Renato Dall’Ara, Roma have scored in 16 of them, while they have found the back of the net at least twice on each of their previous four trips to Bologna.

24

By the full-time whistle, only Napoli (26) and Inter Milan (29) had scored more Serie A goals than Roma’s 24.

111

Roma captain Dzeko - the club’s record non-Italian goalscorer - scored his 111th Giallorossi goal when he slotted home his side’s second of the match, drawing him level with Amedeo Amadei in third on Roma’s all-time list of top scorers.

He did it in exactly the same number of games too - 234 for both.

1931

Roma scored five or more goals in the first half of a Serie A match for only the third time in their history and first since doing so against Livorno in May 1931.
