On the anniversary of Francesco Totti's first-ever hat-trick, we take a look at some of the other players to have walked away with the match ball on a few occasions in our history...

    10. Edin Dzeko (2015-Present): 3 Hat-tricks in 223 Games

Dzeko has scored all three of his hat-tricks for the Giallorossi in European competition - with two of them actually coming against the same opponent, Viktoria Plzen (once in the Europa League, then again in the Champions League). The other triple also came in the Europa League, during the 4-0 away win over Villarreal in the last-32 of the 2016-17 competition.

    9. Dino Da Costa (1955-1962): 3 in 163 Games

Da Costa's list of victims: Pro Patria, Sampdoria, Napoli

    8. Francesco Totti (1993-2017): 4 in 786 Games

The first came against Brescia in 2002, with subsequent matchballs being acquired against Gent, Kosice and Bari - all of them coming during the same season (2009-10).

    7. Roberto Pruzzo (1978-1988): 4 in 315 Games

The victims for Pruzzo, in order: Inter, Udinese, Modena, Verona.

    6. Vincenzo Montella (1999-2007, 2008-2009): 5 in 258 Games

The 'Little Airplane' loved a hat-trick, with his victims being: Bari, Fiorentina, Nova Gorica, Chievo and Messina.

    5. Abel Balbo (1993-1998, 2000-2002): 5 in 182 Games

The Argentine kept his hat-tricks strictly domestic, with the matchballs sitting at home for games against Inter, Cremonese, Sampdoria, Napoli and Empoli.

    4. Rodolfo Volk (1928-1933): 5 in 162 Games

The Hall of Fame striker scored his hat-tricks against Torino, Cremonese, Pro Vercelli, Padova and Modena.

    3. Enrique Guaita (1933-1935): 5 in 63 Games

Guaita managed an impressive 43 goals in 63 games for the club (0.68 goals per game), so it's perhaps no surprise that record was boosted by a fair few hat-tricks. His triples came against Genoa, Torino, Livorno, Alessandria and Napoli.

    2. Amedeo Amadei (1936-1938, 1939-1948): 7 in 234 Games

A title winner with the club in 1942, Amadei scored three times in an afternoon against Pontedera, Venezia (twice), Bari, Napoli, Liguria and Sampdoria.

    1. Pedro Manfredini (1959-1965): 9 in 164 Games

The man was often called 'Man-Tre-Dini' for a reason. Nine hat-tricks was some return from the hitman - his exploits coming against Bari, Udinese, Lazio, Padova, Udinese, Palermo, Napoli, Torino and Sampdoria.
