A draw that could perhaps have been so much more - but nevertheless, plenty of reasons to be positive.
That appears to be the general verdict from the players, following Sunday's 2-2 draw with Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico.
Here's what a few of our guys had to say about the game - which saw Jordan Veretout score twice.
For Pedro, it was a night to remember - as he made his home debut for his new club.
"Happy to make my debut at the Olimpico," Pedro wrote. "We fought hard to win, but we come away with a point against a tough opponent. Good work from everyone. DAJE ROMA!"
Full-back Leonardo Spinazzola echoed that general sentiment, expressing perhaps some slight regret not to come away with more against his old side.
"A great effort against a top side," he said.
"We could have come away with more, but the attitude we showed on the pitch should give us the confidence that we are on the right track!"
Roger Ibanez was similarly positive for the future following the game: "A shame not to win, but we have to continue like this with our heads held high!"
For Marash Kumbulla, Sunday night saw him make his debut for the Giallorossi - against one of the tougher possible opponents too.
"Happy to make my debut and proud of how the team played," he said.
"We deserved the three points."
Lorenzo Pellegrini was perhaps the most direct and to the point with his post-match comment.
"A proper performance from a proper team - if we make sure we focus only on reproducing performances like this then it will be a great season!"
And last but certainly not least, goalscorer Jordan Veretout had to mark another big night in his Roma career. His message was similarly straightforward.
"A great Roma, for a big game. Let's continue like this."
