Damie wins $250,000 donation for UNICEF

Roma Esports professional Damian 'Damie' Augustyniak won a $250,000 donation to UNICEF on Sunday, after he reached the final of the star-studded Gamers Without Borders FIFA event.

In the special charity tournament, Damie ultimately lost out on penalties in a dramatic final - as eventual winner Umut 'Umut' Gultekin held his nerve after nothing could separate the two in their best-of-three meeting.

The two players traded identical 6-4 wins to set up a decisive third match; with a 1-1 draw in that sending everything to a penalty shootout.

In total the duo earned $650,000 to go to one of four possible charities - with both opting to give their donations to UNICEF as part of the international charity's Covid-19 relief efforts.
