Two Primavera players return positive tests for Covid-19

AS Roma can confirm that, following the latest round of planned medical testing, two members of the club’s Primavera (Under-19) team have returned positive tests for Covid-19.

The two players, who are currently asymptomatic and have begun self-isolating, will undergo further testing in the next few hours.

The club, complying with the protocols put in place for situations like this, immediately informed the relevant health and sporting authorities upon receiving the results of the tests.

In line with the guidelines put in place, those who have come into contact with the two individuals have been traced and notified – while a deep clean and disinfection of the club’s training facilities has also already begun.

All other Primavera players and staff will also undergo a new round of tests in the next few hours. The team’s training activities have been suspended until at least Monday 24 August.
